We specialize in the design and evaluation of steel wire ropes in their application and use.

I qualified as a certificated mechanical engineer after completing an apprenticeship in fitting and turning.

I have installed and maintained wire drawing, stranding and closing machines. I have designed, developed and tested steel wire ropes and evaluated there performance in the field. I have also evaluated the failure of numerous ropes and the equipment on which they operated. I was also the production manager of a wire drawing mill and effluent plant.

I have worked in sales and technical services for global wire rope manufactures.

In total I have over 25 years experience working with wire and ropes.
